Sofia Vergara Speaking With Helium Is as Magical as You’d Expect

“I’m so happy this is happening,” said host Jimmy Fallon through hysterical giggles on The Tonight Show.
Tuesday night’s episode featured guest Sofia Vergara, star of the hit show Modern Family, and an actress with immense staying power. That consistency can be attributed to many things, and having one of the most recognizable accents helps.
Fallon, always ready to start some hijinks with his guest stars, decides to have a bit of fun using Vergara’s voice. He asks that she introduce herself to the crowd…after sucking up some helium from a big red balloon.
The results are as magical as you’d expect:
The gag starts off with Vergara saying, “My name is Sofia Vergara” to the camera and crowd, and her high-pitched, helium-infused voice causes her (and Fallon) to crack up mid-sentence.
The audience follows suit when she finally introduces herself, as well as when she proclaims, “My English is very good on this thing, no?”
She then proceeds to give a shoutout to her Latino fans in Spanish. Then Fallon asks her to say, “Ben Roethlisberger,” the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and her Chipmunks-like tone while making an attempt at saying his name makes it freaking hilarious.

“I’m so happy this is happening!” Fallon said. So are we, Jimmy, so are we.
