Young Girl Prays With Police Officers in Viral Photo

With all that’s going on in the world, stories like these give us a little glimmer of hope.

In a San Antonio, Texas restaurant, a young girl named Paige spotted a group of five police officers eating together. She felt compelled to go over to the officers to ask, “May I pray for you to be safe and so that God may take care of y’all?”

The officers then joined Paige in prayer, bowing their heads. The moment was documented in a Facebook post by Martha Bosquez. The heartwarming photo was shared over 4,000 times, with more than 300 comments.

Bosquez also stated that one of the officers came to their table later on to thank them again.

The photo was taken on the same day the San Antonio Police Department was holding a funeral procession for fallen officer Miguel I. Moreno, who was shot and killed in June. So, Paige’s prayer came at an emotional time for the officers.

The police department shared the photo on Facebook with the caption, “A wonderful moment to lift our spirits on the hardest of days…”

Though the police officers are going through a tough time right now, it’s people like Paige who keep them motivated to do their duty.
