Sam Smith Confirms New James Bond Theme Rumors
British musician Sam Smith, after hinting Monday his involvement in the new James Bond film, confirmed early Tuesday he would be lending his vocal talents to sing the opening theme song.
In a message posted to Facebook, the “Stay With Me” singer said:
“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
The new track, ‘Writing’s on the Wall,” can be purchased here or on iTunes starting today.
