Is there anything better than some Key, Peele, and some kittens?
During the press tour for their action-comedy film Keanu, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele stopped by an animal shelter putting the spotlight on some super adorable kittens.
The pair stopped by the Tree House Humane Society in Chicago, where they helped to raise money for the shelter and the animals. During the stop, the comedic duo also gave the kittens some new names which are quite ridiculous and totally entertaining.
Key and Peele took some notes from their famed East-West College Bowl sketch format giving the new names to the cats. Some highlights include Gingerfur Lopez, Fieldgar, Mr. Higgabonton Crumplier III, Guripantance Mousebreath, and Eighteen Lives.
While the clip is pretty funny, the pair are also putting the spotlight on cat adoption.
“Tree House is grateful to Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele for the generosity of their time and talents to support our efforts to build a state-of-the-art facility that allows us to rescue and rehabilitate significantly more animals,” Dave de Funiak, executive director of Tree House Humane Society shared. “Key & Peele’s support will help inspire increased interest in animal rescue throughout the country.”
The recent shelter visit is part of their promotion for Keanu. In Keanu, Key and Peele set out on the ultimate adventure to save their cat, Keanu, after he is stolen by the infamous 17th Street Blip gang.
Check out the hilarious clip above and make sure to see Keanu in theaters on April 29.
