For many city dwellers, the white devilry known as snow can be somewhat of a hassle. Within a couple of minutes of the wintry precipitation falling, commutes and planned activities can be destroyed by the slushy disaster. With that said, we can agree that freshly fallen snow is a sight to behold. When it comes to snow art though, most of our prowess goes only as far as snowmen and snow angels.

Not for Simon Beck, though. The British artist is world-renowned for the seemingly uncanny ability to create mind-boggling masterpieces using only his feet and the snow beneath them. Yes, this man walks through the snow and when he is done, you may find a massive, stunning tree leaf in his wake, or a wolf howling at the moon.

Check out some of Beck’s amazing work:

Beck’s process starts in the direct center of what will eventually be another piece of art, walking from the middle and using a compass and pace-counting to determine in which direction to go. But even with all these techniques, his masterpieces are mostly done using his own personal judgement.

Some of these pieces may even take a full day and night of walking.

Beck has over 200,000 fans on Facebook. You can view and purchase a book of his art here.
