Disgraced Subway Spokesperson Jared Fogle Sues Victim’s Parents

Imprisoned former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle has struck out against the parents of one of his victims. Fogle alleges that they, not he, are responsible for the girl’s emotional distress.

The allegations come in response to a $150,000 lawsuit filed by the parents in March. Their daughter was one of the children Fogle’s business partner Russell Taylor was convicted of secretly filming in the nude and then passing the images on to the pitchman.

On Thursday, Fogle’s attorneys filed a motion with the court to have the parents named as additional defendants in the lawsuit, claiming that the divorced couple, “through their actions, caused or significantly contributed to the injuries and damages alleged by Jane Doe in her Complaint against the Defendants.”

The official complaint also saw Fogle say the parents were responsible for the girl’s substance abuse problems and suicidal tendencies.

The allegations are just the latest in a string of incidents involving Fogle since his sentencing last November. Since then, the former weight loss icon has failed in a bid to have his sentence reduced, and taken a beating from a fellow inmate who felt Fogle carried himself like a “celebrity.”
