We know that dogs and cats are often portrayed as mortal enemies, but this German shepherd and a tiny, tiny foster kitten are turning those stereotypes on their head.

Meet little Moo. Moo is a new foster kitten that’s just moo-ved in with Tennyson, the – relatively speaking – ginormous German shepherd and rightful king of the house. One day Moo was out exploring her new home and wanted to venture upstairs. Unfortunately, little Moo’s legs couldn’t quite handle all the stairs. Tennyson, taking the mantle of “gentle giant,” decided to help Moo in a rather unconventional way.

Watch:

At first, your heart probably had palpitations as Tennyson bent over and took little Moo in his jaws. But it’s quickly evident the dog treats the kitten with a gentleness and ease that might make you think the large dog was her actual mother. We’re guessing these two have a long, enjoyable future together.
