There is inseparable, and then there’s what Buddy and Reagan are. There isn’t a word in the English language that can properly convey how close their relationship is.

Kari Lewis is a foster mother living in Portland, OR, and her mother, Sandi Swiridoff, decided to adopt a dog when she felt a void in her heart. Reagan, an Australian labradoodle, joined the family around the same time that Lewis brought Buddy, an 11-year-old boy, into the home.

“My daughter was fostering two boys, ages two and five,” Swiridoff told Mashable. “When the time came for them to move to a forever family, my heart ached at the thought of no longer being involved in their lives. I needed something to focus on, to pour love and attention into. [Adopting] Reagan, the dog, did just that.”

Kisses from my best bud. ? He went to kiss me on my forehead, but i surprised him by lifting my head and planting a big wet kiss right on the lips. ?#youarewelcomelittlebuddy

At the same age, the dog and the child became fast friends, and they’ve taken cuteness to another level. The pair enjoys reading together, sleeping together, and just relaxing together on the water.

“Reagan gets so excited when little Buddy comes over,” Swiridoff told Mashable. “His whole backside wags – not just his tail. They play, cuddle, steal each other’s toys, read, sip lattes – almond milk, no coffee – and just love to be together.”

The pictures tell the story: These two adorable little ones clearly can’t get enough of one another.

The snuggle is real. ????
