At this point in 2016, we shouldn’t be shocked by the advancements in technology, as new inventions and new features to existing products are moving forward at a blistering pace. With that said, every once in awhile something comes along to remind us that there are some really smart people in the world and plenty of progress to be made.
Meet Muzo, a device created by innovative start-up company Celestial Tribe.
What is Muzo? Well, it’s a device that creates a personal zone of silence and privacy utilizing anti-vibration technology; basically, it places you into a bubble of peace and quiet whenever you choose to be in one. Now we already have noise-canceling headphones, but a device that cancels the noise around you without putting anything on your ears?
See for yourself:
Muzo’s Kickstarter campaign (which goes in-depth about all the science and engineering behind the device) describes it as being “the first acoustic device that applies Anti-Vibration Technology for smooth surface. This Exclusive Technology prevents objects from vibrating to minimize any unwanted disturbances nearby.”
Muzo comes with three specific features.
“Serenity” mode, which “uses anti-vibration technology to remove disturbances” aka, this thing will silence that annoying train outside your house once and for all.
“Sleep” mode in which Muzo exerts sounds proven to help sleep (it even has an alarm mode which sends out sounds to help you wake up).
Finally, “Secret” mode, in which Muzo sticks you in a personal bubble no one can penetrate (or listen in on your conversation).
All you have to do is stick Muzo onto a flat surface, press the button, and adjust accordingly using your smartphone, and within seconds the anti-vibration technology kicks in.
“Set your mode and escape the world,” is Muzo’s tagline. Now, it remains to be seen if this is actually some form of alien technology in disguise, but so far, judging from the $532,666 its campaign has raised and the 152,807 Facebook shares, it seems many people are ready for Muzo.
