Touching Video Shows Little Girl Giving Her Dinner to Homeless Man

Last week in Monterey, CA, an adorable little girl gave a homeless man her dinner and the act of kindness was captured on video by her father.

“Can I just give him some?” asks the girl, Ella, to her father Eddie Scott before she picks up her fork, knife and plate of food, walks it out to a homeless man sitting on a bench just outside restaurant Lallapalooza and hands him the meal.

The man appears confused but nonetheless accepts the meal, presumably thanks Ella, sets it down on the bench and then, of course, starts eating.

“I think you just made his day. I think you just made his week,” said Dad. “How does that make you feel?”

“I liked it,” says Ella, smiling and fist bumping her dad.

In a call with Scott, he told Your Daily Dish, “We used to live in New York so this isn’t the first time we’ve come across this kind of situation.”

Scott, whom is divorced and only gets to see Ella twice a week, believes time is of the essence and tends to teach Ella valuable life lessons when he can.

“This was a great opportunity to show her it is important to give back to the community, especially to those less fortunate. It made her feel good and it made me feel good too. I’m proud of her,” Scott added.

The heartwarming moment has struck a chord with many on Facebook, as the video has racked up over 14 million views and over 10,000 shares (as of press time).

“It’s been crazy,” noted Scott.
