The video explains that unlike other organs in your body, the ear does not have the ability to regenerate. Your hair cells are responsible for picking up frequencies and sending them to the brain, but as you age, they get damaged through exposure to loud noises.

The video says that all ages, unless you’re hard of hearing or dead, should be able to hear the initial pitch at 8000hz. If you’re under 50, then you should be able to hear the pitch at 12,000hz.
