Luckily, APPScience has uploaded a new video to YouTube that tells you the age of your ears according to how many different pitches you can hear. The video explains that unlike other organs in your body, the ear does not have the ability to regenerate. Your hair cells are responsible for picking up frequencies and sending them to the brain, but as you age, they get damaged through exposure to loud noises.

The video says that all ages, unless you’re hard of hearing or dead, should be able to hear the initial pitch at 8000hz. If you’re under 50, then you should be able to hear the pitch at 12,000hz. People under 40 should hear the 15,000hz, under 30 the 16,000hz, and under 24 the 17,000hz as well as the 18,000hz. People under 20 should hear the 19,000hz.

The higher pitches are the ones that go first.
