In recent years, pseudo-science has invaded the theory that vaccines cause autism, as some notable celebrities and news outlets have peddled the debunked link.

One 12-year-old who lives in Mexico is hoping to finally put this now-controversial theory to rest by gathering and explaining all the evidence that supports the claim that vaccines do in fact cause autism in infants.

Did you catch that? There is no evidence to support the claim that vaccines cause autism.

It’s been widely reported the British study that originated the anti-vaxxer movement was debunked and eventually retracted, but still the idea persists.

Marco Arturo, the young scientist in the video who makes and shares videos to his Facebook page, does find a link between vaccines and other infectious diseases, however: namely that vaccines have helped control or eradicate a number of other deadly diseases.

“Vaccines have prevented millions of children from dying from diseases like polio, and measles, and meningitis, and hepatitis, just to mention a few, even small pox. Small pox was mostly eradicated thanks to vaccines,” Arturo adds in the video.

Arturo also points out the selfishness in parents who say they don’t want to vaccinate their children because they are their children.

“It’s your choice if you want to expose your child to deadly diseases, but, ya know, it’s not just your child. It’s basically everyone else’s child” who may come in contact with the unvaccinated child, Arturo explains.

Arturo’s short video has caught the attention of people all over the world, as over 4.8 million people have watched the video, which was even shared by actor Ashton Kutcher.

Now, if only all those other anti-vaxxer celebrities out there would see the video and stop spreading the false “science.”
