It seems like Millie the goat really needed a caffeine fix.

On Sunday, police in Northern California responded to an unusual call when a goat ended up at a local Starbucks. According to Rohnert Park police Sgt. Rick Bates, the curious goat wandered in the store around 5 a.m. and apparently didn’t want to leave. One Starbucks worker tried to give the farm animal a banana, but instead Millie started to chew on a box.

Eventually, the police caught the goat and turned it over to animal control. Before she was sent to the shelter, Rohnert Park police took photos of the trouble-making goat and posted it on their Facebook page.

Millie’s owners were notified of the goat’s hijinks and picked up their goat from the shelter a couple of hours later. One of the owners stated that Millie actually lived a few doors from Starbucks.

“When we heard, we thought she was a little crazy,” 12-year-old Alan Ergenbright, one of the goat’s owners, told the Santa Rose Press Democrat.

“She’s a really happy and sweet goat. She’s also pretty curious,” Ergenbright concluded.

Ergenbright also stated that his family will build a fence to try to keep the curious goat from another unexpected Starbucks run.
