Dog Leotards Are the Answer for Owners Whose Dogs Shed Uncontrollably

We know skinny jeans are all the rage for human fashion, but don’t be surprised if you start seeing dogs walking around in tight-fitted garments soon.

Introducing Shed Defender, the leotard made for dogs in order to prevent shedding and promote absolute adorableness. And fear not, it poses no threat to the pups.

Tyson Walters, creator and founder of the company, was fed up with his enormous Saint Bernard named Harley getting dog hair all over his car on their frequent trips.

“My car was practically ruined,” Walters told The Dodo. “Harley’s hair would intertwine in the fabric and not want to ever come out. She would shake and the hair would just explode off her and disperse throughout the car.”

After searching for the solution to no avail, Walters decided to design a piece of clothing for Harley and other canine companions that would stop the shedding epidemic.

And then came along Shed Defender, the leotard made for dogs that comes in many different colors and sizes and frankly looks cute as hell.

Besides containing shedding, which also saves those allergic to dog fur from sneezing a bunch, these babies keep doggies warm in the cold weather and even prevent them from itching themselves after getting stitches or if they have a skin disease.

Shed Defender is not to be worn 24/7, just like people clothing, but is safe for dogs to wear with its comfortable material meant for proper airflow and inability to cause overheating.

Plus, part of the proceeds will be donated to local animal shelters.

“People love the idea,” Walters said. “They love the look. People always take pictures of Harley when she’s wearing hers, and they ask where they can get one.” said Walters. “It’s a head turner.”

Dog leotards sure are head turners to say the least, but it’s more to know the silly style won’t harm these beautiful, innocent puppies that roam our streets and make us smile.
