This Cute Crossbreed Is Half Terrier, Half Dachshund, and All Adorable

Meet Rami the dog, the perfect pit bull-wiener dog mix.

American pit bulls are big, tough dogs that are actually quite sweet. Examples of pit bulls include Ashley, who was saved from an abandoned crack house, and Hero, who was stabbed saving a woman from an attacker.

Wiener (dachshund) dogs are those short-legged little pups that look like walking hot dogs. Vivian is one, though she’s quite larger than usual, and so is Kera, who tends to think she’s a big dog.

But Rami is both of these amazing dog breeds rolled into one. He was found as a stray in a backyard in Georgia, and was taken to the nearby animal shelter operated by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society. They shared Rami on Facebook to show how wonderful he is, and to find him a loving family.

“Hi! I’m Rami and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m full of energy. I don’t like walking on a leash,” they wrote on Facebook to promote the dog.

They couldn’t have expected the influx of fans that were fascinated with Rami, and many people wanted to adopt him. However, they accepted none of these offers, fearing he would be treated like a freak of nature, so the shelter kept the mixed-breed dog.

Now, Rami helps out at the shelter as a therapy dog, soothing feral canines and making friends along the way.

He also serves as an ambassador and has his very own Facebook page, with over 12,000 fans!

We don’t know about you, but Rami just got himself another like from us. We absolutely adore this cute pit bull-wiener dog mix.
