As any cat owner can tell you, sometimes it feels like frisky felines could get along just fine without humans.

In the video above, it seems that a kitten has gotten itself stuck inside a deep foundation hole. While others observe, one man lowers a ladder in and tries to coax it up. The animal, seemingly frozen by fear, doesn’t budge so the man begins gingerly climbing down the ladder to rescue it.

However the cat wasn’t the damsel in distress that the group thought. Just as the man reaches the bottom of the hole, the cat takes off in a blur. The animal climbs up the walls and out of the pit to freedom like something out of a Spider-Man film, leaving its would be rescuer dumbfounded, and his companions in fits of hysterics.

SHARE this cat’s amazing acrobatics with a friend who needs a good laugh!
