Courage is not the absence of fear; it is having the ability to act and push forward in the face of fear.

Then again, ingenuity goes a long way, especially when you’re scared stiff. Just ask this puppy.

This little dude found himself facing insurmountable odds: as he followed his owner outside, he came to a screeching halt in front of some excessively high steps. Horrified, the pup jumped around, recognizing a losing battle when he saw it. But again, ingenuity is a great replacement for courage.

Check out what happened:

After some moments of hesitation, the tiny pup decided, “Why risk diving across these steps when I can just jump into this comfy-looking bush?” and that is exactly what he proceeded to do, plopping out of site into the bush and appearing on the ground floor again. After shaking himself off, he was ready to conquer the day once again.
