Girl Gives Her Pregnant Dog a Maternity Photo Shoot

Remember when the internet went crazy for Beyonce’s maternity photo? Well, it seems that a dog on the west coast just gave Beyonce a run for her money.

On June 26, Elsa Veria-Means posted maternity photos of her 2-year-old dog Fusee to Twitter. Fusee was eight weeks pregnant at the time of the photo shoot.

“She is so photogenic, so I just figured something like this would be so perfect,” Veria-Means told BuzzFeed.

19-year-old Clayton Foshaug, a friend of Veria-Means, snapped the amazing photos.

“Fusee was such a great doggie model and made it easy and fast,” Foshaug told Texas television station KTRK-TV.

In the photos, Fusee looked adorable in a flower crown. Veria-Means held up a sign that read, “Soon 2 be mom.”

As of June 30, the photos received 63,000 shares and 206,000 likes on Twitter.

Veria-Means was amazed at the popularity of the photos.

“I had no idea it would go that viral,” Elsa Veria-Means wrote to Your Daily Dish. “I was freaking out a little once people started to retweet it out of the United States.”

On June 28, Fusee became a mom when she gave birth to eight puppies.

“The puppies are great. They are very healthy and she is a great mom to them,” Veria-Means told BuzzFeed.

She posted a video of Fusee and her puppies on Twitter.

But not everyone was amused by the maternity photos. PETA criticized the photos for “glorifying breeding.”
